The ongoing war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces led to the cessation of food rations provided by the World Food Program, as well as marginal professions that provided the displaced with a limited income to meet some of their living obligations.
With a number of people dying from hunger in Sudan, the World Food Program confirmed that it is currently unable to provide regular food assistance to more than one in ten people facing emergency levels of hunger.
